A couple of years ago, one of our neighbours' cat Chloe was seen in other peoples gardens, and all through that summer we thought we had seen her sleeping and prowling in ours. It slowly dawned on us that in fact it wasn't that cat we were seeing, but another one very similar. This picture shows the reason for the confusion (Chloe's the one on the left):-

It was seen sleeping outside in all weathers at night. Finally, when we found our rubbish bags torn open and this cat eating the scraps it had found, we put some food out for it. She has lived with us ever since. Nobody answered our efforts to find her proper owner, so we seem to be stuck with her! She was called Trixie, because I thought she was a tricksy little thing in the way she found her new home!

She is very much a one girl cat, adopting my eldest daughter as her new slave (owner to us humans).

A nice , pretty, cat, a bit Victorian in some of her snootiest moments, but we are very pleased she likes it here. She is definitely angling for the position of "Top Cat", and so far has managed to bully Tiggy into submission.  However, she didn't much headway against Mrs Thomas, who generally ignored her, and finds herself being "bullied" by the new contender Mizi..
